Ever since the promos of Sony TV’s Pehredaar Piya Ki have been released, social media has been buzzing with sharp criticism about the show’s idea of an older woman being married to a child prince. While the speculations around the show range from pedophilia to child marriage, the show’s makers have been silent despite the flak they’re getting.
But we got talking to Parmeet Sethi and Tejaswi Prakash, who play pivotal parts in the royal drama, and their message to viewers and critics is, “don’t kill the messenger”. The controversial show goes on air on July 17.
