Captain Amarinder Singh is all set to form his government in Punjab. He will be sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Punjab on 16 March. On Sunday, he addressed his first press conference after the Congress’ sweeping victory in the Punjab assembly elections.
When asked about his son-in-law’s cousin SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia, who has been accused of being involved in a drug racket, the soon-to-be CM said a proper investigation will be conducted in the matter.
We will not practice vendetta politics. Those involved in drug nexus won’t be spared.
During the campaign period, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal had vowed to send Majithia to jail if he came to power in Punjab. He also accused Singh of protecting Majithia.
