Four youngsters pushed a Mumbai Cop into an immersion pond after they were asked to leave the spot. While the Cop managed to escape, a mobile video of the shocking incident has now gone viral.

Following a meeting with Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackerey, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tweeted about the formation of a dedicated committee on the matter.

The incident comes in the wake of repeated attacks on police personnel in Mumbai.

On 31 August, traffic cop Vilas Shinde (50) succumbed to his injuries, days after he was hit on the head with a wooden plank allegedly by a juvenile after he asked the latter for vehicle documents at a petrol pump in suburban Khar.
