‘Meet Vincent Van Gogh’ is an interactive Van Gogh exhibition that was launched in China. It was put together by the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam. The exhibition appeals to all the senses.

Visitors are surrounded by lifelike productions. One can walk into the artworks, smell the straw from the paintings, listen to the wind from ‘The Harvest’ , and even take a nap on Van Gogh’s bed.

Axel Ruger, Director of Van Gogh museum said that the works of the artist were very fragile but they were looking for innovative ways to exhibit the paintings. This gave way to launch the exhibition since there is growing interest about Van Gogh in China. The exhibition not only enhances the experience of the visitor but also sparks creativity among them through interactive digital platforms which allows them to use hand gestures to bring colours to life.
