Gir officials on Sunday caged 13 Asiatic lions following three recent attacks on humans by them.

According to officials, the action has been taken as a precautionary measure and to establish which of the lions had attacked humans around Barad and Ambardi villages.

In the latest incident on Friday, a lion allegedly killed a 21-year-old boy when he and his father were sleeping in the fields in Ambardi village.
