US Vice President Mike Pence addressed the annual ‘March for Life’ anti-abortion rally in Washington DC on Friday.
For the first time, a sitting Vice President addressed the pro-life rally.
In his first major address after being sworn in, Pence said: “We will not rest until we restore a culture of life in America.”
“This is the first generation of young people to reject abortion,” said a supporter who organised a march by students.
On his first week as President, Donald Trump had signed an executive order banning foreign aid to non-governmental organisations that discuss abortion counselling.
