Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah on Friday accused the Samajwadi Party government of graft in connection with construction of roads in Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a rally in Hapur district, Shah questioned why the Akhilesh Yadav-led SP government had constructed roads at Rs 31 crore per kilometer, whereas the same could be made by the Centre at Rs 18 crore per kilometer.
The BJP President also took a jibe at the SP-Congress alliance, saying that both had been corrupt in their administrative capacity.
Speaking on perceived lawlessness in the state, Shah said that UP tops the chart in terms of murders and crimes committed against women. He also declared that repeated bouts of unemployment have forced most men from the state to migrate to other cities. This, Shah asserts, doesn’t happen in other BJP-ruled states.
