Putting an end to all speculation, Shah Rukh Khan has finally confirmed his association with TED Talks.
In case you’re wondering, SRK is not going to speak at an edition of the popular international knowledge series. He is all set to host a desi version of the series.
The eloquent Bollywood superstar, who is known for his quick wit, will be seen as the master of ceremonies of the Hindi version of TED Talks.
In what is being termed as a global first, the non-profit organisation TED (Technology Entertainment and Design) has partnered with Fox’s Star India to bring TED Talks to the Indian TV screens.
The Hindi version of the show, titled ‘TED Talks India: Nayi Soch’, will see Shah Rukh Khan play host to speakers who will present their ideas in speeches of 18 minutes or less – in keeping with TED’s international format.
Between Doordarshan’s announcement to re-telecast the popular 90’s show ‘Circus’ featuring a young SRK, and Star India’s TED Talks India, we are up for some serious Shah Rukh Khan gazing on Indian television this year.
The series will mark Khan’s second association with Star India, after having hosted ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 3’ almost a decade ago.
If you’ve never heard of TED Talks, now would be a good time to YouTube it. Check out the social media stir over this news:
