The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) has said that reports of six lakh Indian IT professionals likely to lose their jobs in the next three years are incorrect. The association says that, in fact, the Indian IT industry has been steadily adding new jobs.

NASSCOM Chairman Raman Roy says that last year, the industry hired 1.73 lakh IT professionals and that the industry would need nearly 3 million professionals by 2025. However, nearly 40% of the existing workforce will need to reskill itself to deal with the changing trends in the industry. The Quint caught up with Roy to ask him what kind of jobs and skills would be required.
