Good news for Airtel home internet users in the country. Now all its broadband users will get double their original data quota.
So, users on Rs 899 plan will now get 60GB instead of the original 30GB which was offered to them earlier. The double your data offer comes on the back of an earlier offer when free data was given to its postpaid users around Holi this year.
Calling it the ‘100 percent more data offer,’ Airtel claims that all its users on the V-Fiber network will get speeds up to 100Mbps.

This announcement could be Airtel’s way of countering the imminent launch of Jio’s Fiber broadband in the country. Jio has already started trial testing its 1Gbps internet service across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Chennai, among others.
By offering extra data on its broadband network, Airtel would be hoping to not let Jio do to broadband what it did to mobile internet in 2016.
