After being unveiled at the MWC last month, Sony has launched the next iteration of the Xperia XZ in India, dubbed the Xperia XZs. The device has been launched at Rs 49,990 for the Indian market.
There have been no prominent changes in the design, so much so that we can call it XZ’s ‘judwa bhai’. The XZs sports a 5.2-inch Full-HD Triluminous display, powered by a third-tier Snapdragon 820 octa-core chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM.
It also comes with multiple internal storage options from a 32GB to a 64GB and memory can also be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB. The phone comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and also supports dual-SIM.
The highlight of the phone is the 19-megapixel ‘Motion Eye’ rear camera that’s capable of recording slow-motion videos at 960 FPS. A world first! Most phones these days can go only up to 240FPS. The selfie camera stands at 13 megapixels.
The device is water-resistant with an IP68 certification and comes with a 2900mAh non-removable battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0.
It also has dual-SIM capability and supports 4G. The Xperia XZs is available in three color variants; Black, Warm Silver and Ice Blue, and will be available for pre-orders starting 11 April.
