Canon has refreshed its EOS DSLR camera for 2016 with the 1300D. Priced at Rs 29,999 (with 18-55mm lens kit) the 1300D succeeds last years’ 1200D.

According to Canon, the 1300D is equipped with an 18-megapixel CMOS sensor with ISO range of 100-6,400. The 1300D can now shoot full-HD videos and gets a 3-inch LCD display that can be used as a viewfinder.

The addition of WiFi and NFC support on the Canon EOS 1300D allows users to wirelessly share photos and videos.

The EOS 1300D facilitates seamless image transfer to smart devices through the Canon Camera Connect app (via Wi-Fi), or a simple tap between the camera and the compatible smart device to establish a connection for file transfer (via Near Field Communication, NFC).
Canon Statement

It’ll be interesting to see what Nikon will do to counter Canon’s move in the entry-level DSLR space this year.
