YouTube is probably the most popular app used for music and video streaming free of cost. All you need to do is, sign-in with your Google account and like most Google products, you get seamless access to content and can even browse its history on YouTube.

The video hub is a party-starter and saves you the expense of hiring a DJ as you can simply loop tracks on it.

The only complaint that you might have about YouTube is that it remains a plain-jane web-based app that does not work unless your phone’s screen is On.

You must have observed as you Lean On that once you turn off the screen to save the phone’s battery, the music stops playing. This irritating part about YouTube is the reason why users opt and pay for services like Spotify and Gaana and the likes of these.

Chrome and YouTube are part of the same family, which is why whenever you look for the latter, you end up reaching the app on your mobile phone. Not cool, Google!

YouTube has seemingly tried to make our lives simpler by rolling out its own music app which works in tandem with YouTube Red service, but is confined to the US (giving India a miss, bad idea) and we’re happy to share that users in India don’t need the app any more.

Wonder why? Because we’ve got the best possible hack for you. Switch to YouTube on Firefox browser (on mobile) and keep the party going!

The Firefox browser magic is, however, limited to Android, as iOS does not accept the app the way its counterpart does.
