PUBG on mobile has taken off and is one of the most played multiplayer games on mobile. Riding on that high, the company has launched a free-to-play PC version of the game as well called PUBG Lite.

Though there is a paid version of the PC game available as well, it didn’t manage to capture the eye of the gamers as much as the mobile version. PUBG didn’t like that one bit.

To garner a larger fan base in the Windows PC gaming market, the company has launched a free-to-play version of the game called PUBG Lite which has been launched for low-end PCs.

We downloaded and played the game to see whether it really is something that specifically Indian PC gamers will like.

The best part about PUBG Lite is that it is free and available for download on the PUBG Lite website. It is compatible with Windows PCs running on Intel i3 processors and as low as 4GB of RAM and 4GB free disk space.

To get the best experience out of the game you need to make sure that you have a high-speed internet connection while playing.

In terms of the graphics, you can set them to high, medium or low depending on the hardware your PC is packing. Gameplay is exactly the same as the PC and the PS4 version where the players have to manually sort out their inventory and battle on an island to survive to the end.

The game is not perfect as it does encounter lags and errors at certain times. What you need to do is make sure you keep the game updated.

Currently PUBG Lite is only available for Windows and not iOS. Games like Counter Strike Go and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 are also available for free to play which is why I feel this is the perfect time to milk the popularity of the game and make it a sensation in the PC world as well.
