Zomato has come up with a new service for its food delivery app called Piggybank.

What’s interesting about this feature? With the Piggybank, people will receive 10 percent of their order value as Zomato credits, called Z Coins in their Piggybank with every completed order on Zomato he/she makes. These points can be redeemed by getting a 10 percent discount on the next order.

This will be applicable to a selection of restaurants that have partnered with Zomato and will be valid in addition to the discounts already offered by the brand.

The service comes to select users initially, based on their loyalty with the brand and location. These users will get 200 Z coins as a joining bonus.

Zomato plans to expand this service to users who order food through Zomato more than 5 times in a month. Zomato gold users will also get an early access to this service.

If you are none of the above, you will have to be referred by someone who already uses Piggybank. You will then have to enter an invitation code sent by the user. If you are eligible for the service, you can log in without entering any invitation code:

However, this will not always be a free service. Zomato will start charging all users Rs 299 per year after two months.

After it becomes paid, everyone will be able to use the service – regardless of whether you are a regular or a gold member.
