Xiaomi has come out with its second iteration of the Mi Band fitness wearable, the Mi Band 2, which now comes with an OLED display. The first Mi Band topped the wearable charts, especially when you consider its pricing.
The addition of a display lets users get call/message notifications, keep a track of their steps and yes, it displays time as well.
What’s even more interesting is that Xiaomi claims that even with a heart-rate sensor on board, the Mi Band 2 is capable of lasting for over 20 days on a single charge. And Mi Band 2’s IP57 certification proves that durability is still on top of Xiaomi’s priority.
Priced at $23 (Rs 1,550 approx), one can expect the Mi Band 2 to be announced for the Indian market in the coming months.
The fitness wearable market is flooded with options right now. You’ve got the likes of Pebble, FitBit among other brands selling their products in the country.
The stiff competition has made the wearable market fairly homogeneous in terms of features, but Xiaomi has managed to stand out in the crowd.
