We’ve finally been greeted with the first, true bezel-less phone in the market, but the sad part is, it won’t make its way to Indian shores, at least not this year. But for what it’s worth, the Mi Mix and Xiaomi have made those numerous rumours turn into reality.
The Mi Mix gets a 6.4-inch edgeless display with 6GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. But without a shadow of doubt, the phone’s biggest takeaway is the display construction.
Edgeless display may not sound like a lot, but when you consider that such a phone will be available for consumers to buy (albeit, only in China for now), we’re finally seeing those concept models turning into reality.
Edgeless display ensures that you get full value from your phone. So, when the company says its got a 6.4-inch display, they truly give you the prescribed number. And that is almost as exciting as modular phones for us.
The only complain that we have is that the Mi Mix isn’t coming to India but we’re hopeful that a Mix 2 might grace our shelves sometime in the near future.
This conceptual phone has got a full ceramic body, with the option of an 18k gold variant as well. Priced starting from Rs 34,481 in its home market, this phone is leaps ahead of what most consumers are being offered right now.
You also get a 16-megapixel camera at the back, and 5-megapixel on the front. Powered by MiUi 8, you can Quick Charge 3.0 the phone, like most high-end devices these days.
