Xiaomi has launched the much-awaited Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 2 Prime phablets in China.

The new phones run on Android 5.0 Lollipop-based MIUI 7, which is the company’s latest UX offering.

There is no statement by the company on launching the phones outside India yet, but given Xiaomi’s interest in the Indian market, one can expect both the phones to come to India in a few weeks from now, as Xiaomi is planning a preview of the MIUI 7 on August 19.
