WhatsApp Stickers is the latest feature that the Facebook-owned messaging platform has added to its feature set. This feature allows users to send .png stickers to friends on their contact list in addition to emojis and gifs.

The feature has been a huge hit among WhatsApp users. The company had introduced a limited number of sticker packs, but now you can customise stickers of your own using third-party applications on the Google Play Store.

WhatsApp has announced that it is making the Stickers open to third-party developers to customise and use stickers of their own. The biggest advantage of this is that you don’t need to know any sort of intricate coding. Rather, one just has to download an app and create your own stickers using thumbnails and images.

There are multiple sticker maker apps like ‘Sticker maker for WhatsApp’ which allow people to create customised stickers for WhatsApp. These stickers can be published on Google Play Store from where they can be downloaded by multiple users.

Here’s how you can create your own customised stickers using third-party applications:

Steps To Create Stickers

  • Go to Google Play Store and install the app ‘Sticker maker for WhatsApp’.
  • Open the app and then tap on Create a new stickerpack’ and feed in the Stickerpack name with the name of the author.
  • A tray icon will appear on the screen. You have to give the app required permissions for it to work.
  • Tap on ‘select file’ or ‘take photo’ to upload an image. You have to draw an outline around the image that you want as the sticker.
  • Tap on ‘Yes, Save Sticker’. Add the number of stickers in the sticker pack you want. A minimum three and maximum thirty stickers can be created in one pack.
  • Next, you publish the sticker pack when done. It will then give a prompt if you want to add the pack to WhatsApp.

After the above process is complete, you can share the same stickers you have created with you friends and family.

There are many apps being developed in the market to customise stickers like these, but for now you can start with ‘Sticker maker for Whatsapp’.
