Facebook-owned WhatsApp messenger is said to be working on a few new features for its messaging app – like the in-app reverse search feature and features like searching for emoji's when doodling photos.
Most recently, the messenger has natively added a pride flag to its keyboard in its latest beta version according to a report by WABetaInfo.
WhatsApp was rumoured to go for this for a long time now. The report also says that a few other emoji's for the LGBTQ community have also been added.
It is yet to be known when the new update will be made full public. WABetaInfo also shed some light on some hidden transgender emoji's in the chat, with the help of one Emojipedia website.
However, this ‘hidden’ feature was for the 2.19.56 Android beta version for the app, now WhatsApp has added the pride flag in its keyboard.
Apart from this, the messaging app is also said to introduce a 'reverse image search' feature soon, in order to fight fake news.
The feature, dubbed "Search by Image" will allow users to check if the image they have received or sent is real or fake.
This Search by Image feature adds to WhatsApp's efforts to fight fake news. Last year, the company had introduced features like Limited forwards and forward labels to forwarded messages.
