Everybody’s favourite chat application WhatApp is gearing up for massive updates, and one possible feature could be a notable addition.

According to the web update, WhatsApp web users may be able to ‘unsend’ a message within 5 minutes of sending it.

Twitter account WABetainfo tweeted that the update was spotted in a beta version and will roll out very soon.

Also, in another update, WhatsApp might be rolling out a feature that will let users change their phone number within the app itself. Once the user has changed the number, they can notify their contacts accordingly.

However, this feature was spotted in a Windows OS phone earlier, so there is no clarity on whether it will be available on other platforms as well.

WhatsApp has undergone some radical updates since it was launched. What once was a simple chat application has turned into a must-have resource for people with smartphones.

Some of the updates that have helped WhatsApp rally a large user base are its video calling and status feature. Also, we were really happy when they decided to bring back the text status feature of the app.

If launched, the new ‘unsend’ feature for WhatApp Web could really take off because there are still many people out there who despite having used WhatsApp for a long time, still manage to press that send button at the wrong time, with sometimes embarrassing text. We all have done that, at least once!
