While users still wait for WhatsApp to get dark mode feature, the Facebook-owned messaging app is busy trying out other things to release.

Reliable tipster WABetaInfo suggests that pretty soon, WhatsApp will let its users edit a photo before sending to their contacts.

This feature has been spotted in the beta version by the tipster, and will probably make its way to everyone in the coming months. The feature, called quick edit media will be available while the user is about to send a photo forwarded by someone else, without storing it on the phone.

As teased in this detailed report, the edit and send option will most likely come to Android as well as iOS users.

As you can see here, the edit option for iOS users will show up at the bottom of the screen, and by clicking on it, you can add a text, sticker or even rotate the photo before sharing it with someone else.

Edit feature has been there on Facebook and even Instagram for quite sometime now and WhatsApp is the latest social media product, co-owned by Facebook to get it, albeit on the beta version for now.

It has been a while since WhatsApp updated users with new features. Hopefully, the messaging app and its developer team can offer this option and many more in the next set of updates. Recently, the blog site featured WhatsApp testing QR code option to share contacts details with other people and that one could also be available pretty soon.
