A lot of Vodafone and Airtel users in the country will not be able to user their phones in the coming weeks. Reason being, the telcos are allegedly going to terminate the connections of over 200 million mobile users on their respective networks.

According to this report, users spending less than Rs 35 for their mobile recharges will have to look elsewhere to use an active mobile number. This calculation has been done by the telco to increase its average revenue per user (ARPU), which has seen a dramatic fall ever since Reliance Jio entered the telecom sector and disrupted the prices like never before.

Just a couple of days ago, Google had announced that it would be shutting down its Google+ division because of a data breach that had resulted in the data of thousands of customers being exposed to third-parties.

It gets worse for the American tech giant.

It has been found that a flaw in Google Maps has allowed scammers in Maharashtra to edit the contact details and addresses of major banks, by which they have been able to scam bank customers into revealing their bank details like CVV and ATM PINs. According to Google’s User Generated Content policy, any user can edit the numbers and details on the platform.

The recent launch of the Samsung Galaxy A9 in India has spurred a lot of interest amongst techies, not only because it is the world’s first four-rear-camera setup, but also carries a price tag dangerously close to one of the top-selling phones in the market — the OnePlus 6T.

It’s fair that a top company like Samsung isn’t perturbed by the presence of the Chinese player in that segment, but definitely needs to be on the lookout as OnePlus has a knack of killing giants as it has done in the past. Brands like HTC and Sony can testify.

So, can the Galaxy A9 stand up to what many are calling the “best OnePlus phone till now”?
