4. Facebook to Introduce ‘Dislike’ Button, says CEO Mark Zuckerberg
Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has finally given in to user demands, announcing that it is all set to launch its ‘dislike’ button. Ever since the now iconic ‘Like’ button was launched on Facebook in 2009, users have requested a similar button to express dislike and disapproval on posts too – should they want to.
According to a BBC report, in a Q&A session held at Facebook’s headquarters in Menlo Park, California, Zuckerberg announced that “Facebook was very close to having it ready for user testing”.
People have asked about the ‘dislike’ button for many years. Probably hundreds of people have asked about this, and today is a special day because today is the day that I actually get to say we are working on it, and are very close to shipping a test of it.

5. For the Love of Selfies Facebook, why the ‘Dislike’ Button?
Facebook has just pulled its latest rabbit out of a hat – lo and behold, the ‘dislike’ button. CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg gave in to user demands when he announced that the social media giant would soon launch a button that was the exact opposite of the ‘like’ button.
The tricky part? Zuckerberg’s own rather ambiguous statement. The 31-year-old genius pronounced that he “didn’t want” people to use the button to “down vote” other people’s posts and pictures. Instead, he’d prefer people used it for sad or tragic posts where a ‘like’ button seems insensitive to use.
But how much will his ‘want’ really feature when the button is thrown loose to an approval-hungry, competitive Facebooking world? Find out here.
