NotPetya Ransomware: All You Need to Know About the Latest Attack

If the WannaCry attacks were a signal of things to come, then the NotPetya ransomware, which hit machines globally on Tuesday, is the sequel that most cyber experts were anticipating. According to experts, NotPetya cleverly uses legitimate Windows processes PsExec and Windows Management Information Command-line (WMIC), which is an interface that simplifies the use of Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).

But simply put, it is no different from WannaCry, and the end motive for the hackers is to earn ransom money (in bitcoin). So, what else do we know about NotPetya? Who has been hit by the ransomware attack, and how can they minimise the damage? Here’s all you need to know.

Xperia XZ Premium Review: A ‘Blingy’ Pixel-Packed Powerhouse

This year’s MWC witnessed the birth of Sony’s new X series phones of which the XZ Premium is being touted as the ‘big daddy’ of the smartphone world. After long the device finally arrived and, I must confess, it was worth the wait. Using the XZ Premium for a couple of weeks gave me an insight of its true capabilities and how powerful it really is. But, does it really justify the price tag that looks exorbitantly outrageous at Rs 59,990! Let’s take a look whether the XZ really has that ‘X’ factor?

UberEats Enters Delhi-NCR With No Minimum Order Delivery Service

After Mumbai, Uber will now offer a food delivery service in Delhi-NCR. In its initial phase, UberEats will only be available in Gurugram.

UberEats obviously vies for space in the crowded food delivery market, where Zomato and Swiggy are considered to be the frontrunners.

Android 8.0 Improves on Nougat With Basic Yet Useful Features

Android 8.0, which is possibly going to be called Oatmeal Cookie, is a few months away from its official roll-out, expected with the launch of Pixel 2 smartphones.

However, that doesn’t mean everyone has to wait that long to try out the upcoming Android flavour, especially if you have a Nexus/Pixel phone.

We spent a couple of weeks with the Beta version of Android 8.0, which is not a lot different from Android Nougat, but Google has made some minute refinements making it more user-friendly. These are some new additions to Android in 2017.
