Here’s Why in 2015 Deepika Padukone Rocks Instagram in India

Sonakshi Sinha is not even close to being the Instagram queen of India.

Instagram was the fastest growing social media platform in India in 2015. Whether it was the festival of Diwali, shaadi celebrations, a lunar eclipse, or responses to social issues, the world’s most important moments unfolded on Instagram this year.

With more than 400 million monthly actives, 75% of whom are based outside of the United States, these moments have become more and more global. Instagram recently released data for the user community in India.

As this year comes to a close, we’re taking a look back at the top 5 Instagram accounts in India and their top liked photos in 2015. And guess what? Even with 2.6 million followers, Sonakshi Sinha does not even figure in the top 5.
