As Samsung is all set to launch its flagship Galaxy Note 9 in India, the Korean manufacturer has slashed the prices of the previous version of the Note phablet – the Note 8 by Rs 12,000 ahead of the Note 9 launch on 22 August.
Initially launched at Rs 67,900, the Note 8 is retailing at a price of Rs 55,900 on e-commerce websites and Samsung's online store.
With the Galaxy Note 8, you get a 6.3-inch sized phone with edge-to-edge display that packs 2560x1440 pixels in resolution, or Quad-HD as they call it.
The Galaxy Note 8 was the first Samsung phone to have a dual camera setup with two 12MP sensors with Optical Image Stabiliser and an 8MP front camera.
The Galaxy Note 8 packs an octa-core Exynos 8895 processor paired with 6GB RAM. While storage wise, you get 64GB on the Galaxy Note 8, which is expandable up to 256GB (via microSD slot).
Feature-wise, the phone comes with face-recognition and a fingerprint scanner at the back. Along with the S Pen, the Note 8 caters to premium users.
