What’s Good?

If you are looking for an overwhelming luxurious TV to buy, it really cant get better than this. You might think that 65- inch Samaung SUHD UA65JS9000K TV is fragile, but to our surprise it’s quite strong.

The blend of metal used on the frame of the TV is quite polished for upmarket taste and it is as beautiful from the rear as it’s from the front.

Even when it’s switched off, it looks like a masterpiece sitting on the desk. Samsung has designed this TV to stand out and it does that pretty well. Place it anywhere in the room and you you just cant help but notice.

The Samsung UA65JS9000K has a 65-inch LED-backlit LCD display panel with a 3840x2160 pixel resolution. It also comes loaded with a 60W 4.2 channel front-bottom firing speakers. And yes you can wall mount it, but on a stand it looks like an art piece.

For connectivity there is Samsung’s One Connect box. This box plugs in to the TV with a single wire and you can then connect your every other entertainment device with the Box. This is one of the best way for connectivity on a TV.

The box is comes with the TV and has four HDMI ports, three USB ports, a common socket for composite and component video in, digital audio out, wired LAN, and RF antenna in.

You can even connect a 3G dongle to this TV for internet connectivity.

The Samsung SUHD 9 Series is a smart TV, and is powered by a proprietary user interface called Smart Hub. The UI is intuitive and easy to use, most of the apps can be accessed directly with the remote and you can even stream content online on this TV. The TV has 3.77GB of on-board storage for apps and there is no expandable option.

The remote included with the Samsung 9 Series derives inspiration from LG’s magic motion remote which is good. To navigate on TV all you have to do is point towards the TV display and click a button to select. The remote is one of the best that you can find on a TV till date.

The Samsung SUHD tv is a 4K television, which basically means it can give you four times the resolution of HD TV’s. We watched a lot of 4K content online on this TV and it’s awesome. The SUHD TV has black levels and contrast performance that is out of this world. It totally has an immersive picture experience.

That’s mainly because this TV comes with NanoCrystal technology on it. This makes the TV extremely bright (Upto 1000 nits). The technology also has benefits in terms of lower power consumption and deeper blacks.

NanoCrystal technology has Quantum dots that are extremely tiny particles that can be excited to generate specific wavelengths of light depending on their size.

Quantum dots on this TV are placed on blue LEDs to produce very precise narrow spectrum bands of red, green and blue. This basically reduce light leakage as compared to the traditional “White” LED method seen on TV’s.

So the colours on the Samsung SUHD TV comes out as close to reality as it can get right now.

The Samsung SUHD TV features 4.2 channel front-bottom firing speakers that also include dual woofers. The treble and bass are well balanced and an output of 60W, is more than enough to fill the room.

What’s Bad?

I am not a big fan of the curved panels on TV simply because it really does not help in an exceptional viewing experience. All it’s capable of doing is look smart and give that pseudo 3D experience while watching movies on it. Samsung’s SUHD TV also does that.

If you don’t have a HD set top box you’ll curse this TV. It does do upscaling to 4K for HD content smoothly but standard definition content upscaling is a big disappointment.

Samsung SUHD TV is 3D capable, but sadly Samsung forget’s to bundle some 3D glasses with the TV.

The TV also gives support for screen mirroring and syncing with an android smartphone but, only the one’s with Samsung Smartphones can actually use this feature. That’s a bit of a shame because not everyone owns a Samsung Android smartphone.

Why Buy it?

Overall the Samsung 65 inch 9 Series SUHD TV totally lives upto our expectations and this is by no doubt one of the best TV’s money can buy presently in the market.

But then again it costs almost as much as a Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, so this TV is not for the ‘Aam Admi’ at all.

So if you have deep pockets or a lot (Unaccounted) money, then this Rs 4,40,000 SUHD TV from Samsung totally makes sense.
