Sennheiser, a German premium audio brand that is known for premium high quality audio has expanded its Momentum series with the M2 IEi In-Ear Headset. The earphones have the premium appeal for sure but for Rs 6,990 are they worth it?

What’s Good
The earphones have a premium finish, one that you expect from a company like Sennheiser. They work seamlessly with Apple devices but if you plug them into an android device the remote acts up all cranky. The sound quality is balanced but the X factor is missing especially when you want to capture a more subtle range of sounds. People who listen to electronic music will surely enjoy the company of the Momentum M2 IEi. Overall a good accessory for your iPhone6.
What’s Bad
The mid levels are overwhelming especially if you’re into Bollywood tunes. Sennheiser says the earphones come with a tangle-free cord but sadly that isn’t so. Extra earbuds - essential to most earphone buys - are also missing.
Why Buy it?
No particular reason. The earpods that Apple provides work just as well and are probably better. A price tag of Rs 6,990 is just exorbitant for a pair of earphones that don’t even come with noise cancellation.
