Reliance JioFiber Broadband Prices Out: Offers Free 4K Set-Top Box

The broadband plans from Reliance JioFiber are out and here’s how much users will have to pay for its services.

Reliance Jio has revealed the prices and varied plans of its JioFiber broadband service, which is commercially available in the country from 5 September onwards.

As expected, the plans are priced between Rs 700 and Rs 10,000 with speeds up to 1Gbps on offer, and data maxing out at 5,000GB. And if you want the free 4K TV, get ready to spend over Rs 9,000 every month on JioFiber and its integrated services.

Reliance Jio says it is pricing the plans at less than one-tenth the global rates, to make it accessible for all. Existing users will get a call from Jio executive to work out their chosen plan, while new users can sign up through Jio.com or MyJio app.

1. Rs 699 at 100Mbps with 100GB + 50GB data
2. Rs 849 at 100Mbps with 200GB + 200GB data
3. Rs 1,299 at 250Mbps with 500GB + 250GB data
4. Rs 2,499 at 500Mbps with 1,250GB + 250GB data
5. Rs 3,999 at 1Gbps with 2.5TB data
6. Rs 8,499 at 1Gbps with 5TB data

Free 4K Set Top Box for all Users

All users on JioFiber are getting a 4K set top box and Jio Home Gateway system for free. In addition to this, Jio claims that users will get access to zero-latency gaming, TV video calling support, and device security for up to five devices via Norton software.

The extra GBs in the plans are available for six months as part of the introductory benefit with JioFiber. Even for gaming, video calling on TV, subscribers need to buy the devices separately. 

Jio is also offering these monthly plans in the form of JioForever Plan, which is where the user will be getting HD, Full HD or 4K television. But the amount of money you’ll be spending to get these is much higher than what you’re paying for broadband internet right now.

The company also mentioned that JioFiber users will have access to 3, 6 and 12 month plans. And these can be availed through bank tie-ups, as Jio allows the user to pay their annual plans in the form of monthly EMIs as given below.

1. Rs 8,388 (Rs 699 for 12 months) gets you - 1,200GB data at 100Mbps and Bluetooth speaker
2. Rs 10,188 (Rs 849 for 12 months) gets you - 2,400GB data at 100Mbps and Bluetooth speaker
3. Rs 31,176 (Rs 1,299 for 24 months) gets you - 12,000GB data at 250Mbps and 24-inch HD TV
4. 29,988 (Rs 2,499 for 12 months) gets you - 15,000GB data at 500Mbps and 24-inch HD TV
5. Rs 47,988 (Rs 3,999 for 12 months) gets you - 30,000GB data at 1Gbps and 32-inch HD TV
6. Rs 1,01, 988 (Rs 8,499 for 12 months) gets you - 60,000GB data at 1Gbps and 43-inch 4K TV

The company is looking to compete with existing broadband players like Airtel, BSNL and other local internet providers in the country.
