As reported by FactorDaily, Reliance Jio is likely to unleash its cab division with 600 taxis this year. However, Reliance Industries has no plans to launch an app-based taxi service as the company sees no logic in diversifying into unrelated sectors. But in an interesting turn of event, FactorDaily confirms to stand by its report.

The company had not commented on the speculations so far but finally took to Twitter to deny the foray. A Reliance spokesperson tweeted that the report is "WRONG and DENIED".

The report said that the launch of Jio Cabs is likely to be announced once Jio 4G’s official roll-out in April pans out in the way Reliance expects it to.

Asking users on Jio to pay for its service, comes as a break from the Jio monotony after dishing out free services on the network, for more than 9 months.
