PUBG is the biggest multiplayer game to have hit smartphones and it’s popularity seems to have become its curse in the recent past. Only a few months ago the game was banned in Indian districts of Rajkot, Bhavnagar and some parts of Gir Somnath and was also banned in the UAE.

As a recent blow to the game makers, the Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has decided to ban the streaming of the game in the country citing addiction among teenagers and children, the NTA told Reuters.

In a statement by Sandip Adhikari, the deputy director at Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) told Reuters, that the country has called for a ban on PUBG because teenagers and children are getting addicted to the game.

He also added that the order came post a PIL that was filed by the Nepal Metropolitan Crime Division with the Kathmandu District Court.

The NTA has ordered the country's mobile operators, internet providers and network service providers to block the game in Nepal.

As per the report, Adhikari also mentioned that there hadn't been any incidents linked to the game. However, parents are still concerned about their children who are being distracted from studies.
