Pokemon Go?

Pokemon made a comeback on 6 July this year with a mobile based game called Pokemon Go.The game was created by Niantic Inc., a San Francisco spin-off of Google parent company Alphabet Inc.

To play, you open the game and then start going to famous local landmarks marked as Pokémon gyms or Pokestops where you can gather supplies such as Pokeballs and capture Pokemons. The game uses the phone’s GPS, in-game camera and the clock to locate and capture Pokemons.

The idea is to encourage you to travel around the real world to catch Pokemon in the game.

Pokemon Go in India?

The world is going crazy over the game, people are getting injured, children are sneaking into stranger’s backyards, middle-aged are people running around streets and apparently teens are using the app to lure people into armed robberies.

Indians have had a hard time using the same because of security issues and Pokémon gyms being in places that cannot be accessed easily.

It would be fair to note that the Indian maps are not loaded on the game’s servers. Also, there are a few security issues with the apk file which has been downloaded by people, claims a report.
