Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo recently teased its new ‘under-display front camera’ technology on its latest device.
A teaser released by the company shows the evolution of Oppo’s front cameras through the years, starting with a bulky bezel, to the first flip camera, all the way up to the Oppo Find X and Reno front camera designs. Lastly, we see a phone with an under-display camera with a glowing ring around it.
The company has even started sending out media invites for its new device, to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Shanghai on Wednesday, 26 June.
There are speculations doing the rounds that this might or might not be the next member of the company's Find series, which will be clear when the phone is officially unveiled.
Oppo, however, is not the only manufacturer that has expressed its interest in under-display camera tech. Xiaomi and Honor are also working on the new form factor.
