When you see Deepika Padukone pouting on television, you know it’s an Oppo smartphone ad. The Oppo F3 has got serious backing from the brand, and the company is pushing it in the market as one of the top selfie phones. But is the F3 only about selfies or is there more bundled into this Rs 19,990 phone?

Design
Oppo has worked hard on the design of this phone. Oppo said that the F3 is 27% lighter than the previous iteration. The phone combines metal and glass which has been molded beautifully. It’s compact and fits well in the hand. It is fitted with Gorilla Glass 5 on the front for protection. The home button doesn’t have a haptic feedback, though it acts as a fingerprint sensor. Overall, a good design.
Display & Performace
The device sports a 5.5 inch full HD display that stands at 1080x1920 pixels, pumping out 401 pixels per inch. Viewing angles are good and visibility under sunlight is also fine. Performance is not a major issue. It comes with a MediaTek octa-core chipset coupled with 4GB RAM. Although, we’re not a big fan of the ColorOS inside, but it’s not really a deal breaker. Playing games and watching videos on the phone was A-OK.
Storage & Battery
Plenty of trunk space in the F3. It not only comes with 64GB internal storage, but also offer storage expansion up to 256GB via microSD card. Thank God!
The phone also pack in a 3200mAh battery, which, more or less, will last you the entire day on a single charge. It also supports Oppo’s own VOOC fast charge technology.
Camera
This is the big dhamaka feature of the phone – The Camera! And no, not the back but the front snapper! The Oppo F3 comes with dual front camera. A 16-megapixel camera with ‘Intelligent beautification’ feature, and an 8-megapixel 120 degree wide angle lens for group selfies. Clicks good pictures even in low light. The back features a 13-megapixel camera which is equally good. A true camera phone!
Worth Buying?
The price tag of Rs 19,990 makes the Oppo F3 a serious competitor in the sub 20k price range. It’s got everything going right for it. Good camera, decent specs and substantial battery life.
If you really are a selfie addict and can’t go even a minute without clicking a selfie, the Oppo F3 is a good option for you.
