Facing flak for the display of OnePlus 6 flickering under sunlight, the company has acknowledged the issue and has said it will resolve it with the next OTA update.
In a blogpost on the OnePlus forum, the company said the next Oxygen OS update will resolve the flickering display issue.
"We have noticed feedback from some users regarding the adaptive brightness feature. This feature will be optimised in the next OTA update," it said in the post.
According to the complaints registered by users, the problem occurs when they are using the phone in bright sunlight with the automatic brightness feature turned on.
As per a blog post on AndroidPolice, the brightness of the display was found to flicker between two brightness levels.
Although it is not said to affect the phone’s functioning, the problem was not resolved despite two recent Oxygen OS updates (5.1.8 and 5.1.9).
Apart from this, the OnePlus 6 is also expected to get the August Android security patch.
