OnePlus will be launching two phones later this month, but interestingly, the company has been touting the prowess of the Pro version device. The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro are expected to compete with a host of value-for-money and premium flagship phones respectively.

And now, leaks suggest that the OnePlus 7 Pro is likely to get a starting price of Rs 49,999 for the base 6GB + 128GB variant. The same leak points out that OnePlus will launch a 12GB + 256GB storage option, which is likely to cost Rs 57,999.

The tipster, Ishan Agarwal has offered credible leaks previously as well, which makes us believe the reports that the OnePlus 7 Pro prices in India could actually be the real deal.

At these prices, OnePlus is going up against devices like the Apple iPhone XR and the Samsung Galaxy S10e. While people were concerned about the company hiking the price of its regular OnePlus phone, it’ll be intriguing to see if people buy the Pro version, if it launches at these prices.

The Pro strategy seems to be a direct challenge to other flagship phones in the market that carry ‘Plus’ or ‘Max’ on their name tag.

OnePlus will launch the seventh generation smartphone on 14 May across multiple countries, including India. The company has confirmed the launch date and more details via this tweet on Tuesday 23 April.

We’ve already seen leaked photos of the OnePlus 7 Pro, which suggest the display of the phone would feature an in-screen fingerprint reader, similar to what we saw on the OnePlus 6T, but upgraded to Quad-HD (2160 pixels) quality. The size of the display would be 6.67-inch and support up to 90Hz OLED resolution.

In terms of camera, the OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to carry a triple camera setup with 48, 16 and 8 megapixel sensors in tow, with aperture ranging between f/1.6 to f/2.2 respectively.
