OnePlus 3 has finally been launched, and most of the reports that were leaked earlier have turned out to be true. Priced at Rs 27,999, the metallic OnePlus 3 will be the first OnePlus phone that can be bought without an invite and buyers in India could head to Amazon India from 12:30 am onwards on 15 June to buy the latest phone.
At this price, the OnePlus 3 is directly in competition with the Xiaomi Mi 5 and LeEco Le Max 2. Interestingly, OnePlus has opted for Snapdragon 820 processor with a mammoth 6GB RAM and offering 64GB onboard storage, which is non-expandable.
The phone is running on Oxygen OS based over Android 6.0 Marshmallow. We’re glad that the OnePlus 3 has stuck with its 5.5-inch Full-HD display, however, with the use of an AMOLED panel, we expect the quality to be better than the previous version. It comes loaded with a 3000mAh battery that offers quick-charging support with promise of up to 60 percent charge in 30 minutes.
Invites have been a big hindrance to the popularity of the brand, which made a rousing debut in the Indian market with the OnePlus One in 2014. However, their second product, the OnePlus 2, did not live up to their expectations in the country.
The fact that OnePlus 3 will be sold sans invite gives the company a much needed impetus to push their product and for this price, it is worth a look.
