The big Nokia comeback is done and dusted, with a slew of devices announced at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona on Sunday. The phones, running on Android, will be available Q2 this year, and India could get them very soon.
Priced at starting from 139 euros, Nokia will be hoping that three mid-range Android phones is a sensible way to kickstart its revival in the mobile arena. The Nokia 5 is priced at 189 euros and the Nokia 6 completes the list with its 229 euros price tag.
Nokia 3
Nokia 3 is the entry-level phone that will get pure Android software, with the promise of quick updates, and support for Google Assistant assured by Google.
The phones have been manufactured by Foxconn and designed under the supervision of designers at HMD Global, the company said. It remains to be seen how Nokia plans to sell these devices, especially after its promise to jibe with the new-age mobile users.
Nokia 3 gets a 5.2-inch HD 1280x720 pixels display, 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel on the front.
Nokia 5
The Nokia 5 fits in between the already announced Nokia 3 and Nokia 6. This one gets a 5.2-inch display as well, with 13-megapixel camera at the back.
HMD Global has emphasised on making phones with quality, without compromising on the experience factor, not giving precedence to specifications, and we can clearly see that with the Nokia 3 and 5.
Nokia 6
The Nokia 6 runs on Google's Android platform and is manufactured by Foxconn. The handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat and will come sporting a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass.
The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC and comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
