WhatsApp has been working on a lot of updates due to release in 2019, however WABetainfo has been keeping a very close eye on app’s developers and letting us know about upcoming updates even before they hit the Google Play Store.
A recent development in WhatsApp’s beta stage indicates that the app is going to be adding around 155 redesigned emojis and a Night Mode (aka Dark Mode).
All of these updates will reflect in the latest WhatsApp beta version number 2.19.139.
The new emojis along with the redesigned batch will be made available in the final version of the app very soon along with the web version as well.
What’s more interesting is that the WhatsApp tracker also revealed a few pictures of how the app’s Dark Mode (now called Night Mode) would look like.
The feature is currently still in its beta testing phase and is not available publicly. Night Mode is already compatible with Status and Calls sections. According to the images released, the action buttons still remain green in colour however reports suggest that they could become white in the final version of the update.
Since there are many sections which are still incompatible with Night Mode, there is still ambiguity around when the stable version of the update will be released.
Apart from the above, WhatsApp is also working on animated stickers for the application. Unlike GIFs which stop playing animations after a while, stickers will continue playing the animation on a loop.
These animated stickers will be made available via sticker packs which users will be able to download from Android or Apple app stores.
