Google has launched the updated version of the Nest Mini smart speaker in India with a retail price tag of Rs 4,499.
The new Mini will be made available via online shopping platforms and will be sold in India in multiple colours. For starters chalk (white) and charcoal (black) will be available followed later by other colours like coral (pink).
The Google Nest Mini comes with a similar design to its predecessor with the fabric material covering the speakers and the LED dots on the outside and a plastic base. Google says that the fabric has been made out of recycled plastic.
According to the company, Google Nest Mini comes with a better base and also an updated audio tuning software for a better audio experience.
The Google Assistant can also analyse the exterior sounds and can adjust the audio according to how noisy the environment is. It also comes with a proximity sensor that lights up when a user gets close to the device. The LED also provides prompts to users where to touch to increase or decrease the volume levels.
The Google Nest Mini also comes with a dedicated machine learning chipset inside which allows it to learn some common prompts and commands and then respond faster. This feature is currently available in the US, but will soon come to India.
