The big day is right around the corner and we can’t hide away from the fact that MWC 2017 could be all about Nokia. The company’s Microsoft shackles are off, they have finally found solace for Android and brand Nokia as everyone has always revered.

But hang on, that isn’t the end of the event and especially not when it has yet to start. Reliance Jio is also part of the list, and along with Samsung, Jio could partially steal Nokia’s thunder with some India-specific announcement. What else can we expect to see at the event? Well, here are five of them we know about:

Nokia

After the Microsoft-imposed exile, Nokia is back in our lives. And adding gloss to the news, Nokia is keen on reviving one of its popular product, the Nokia 3310 feature phone. Reports say the Nokia 3310 in 2017 will be slimmer, lighter and will get a colourful display.

In addition to this, Nokia will announce a slew of Android phones, that will surely make its way to India in the coming months. No matter what anyone says, we’re happy to see Nokia back and so should you.

Samsung-Jio

We still aren’t sure what Samsung and Jio will be sharing at the MWC 2017. This could be a product announcement, an exclusive partnership. We all know that Jio will offer paid 4G services via Jio Prime in the country from 1 April onwards, and let’s hope Samsung has a slew of its devices lined up for a bundle offer a la iPhone 7-Jio scheme that was announced last year.

LG

LG will unleash the G6 next week. The company has rolled out invites, leaks have given us glimpse into how the new LG flagship phone will look like and its features. Samsung’s absence from MWC 2017 with the Galaxy S8 could work in LG’s favour, and experts feel that it could be the LG G6 or never.

Huawei/Honor

Huawei has slowly climbed up the smartphone ladder and with Honor, they have a catalogue of products across different price point. If the P9 powered by Leica was anything to go by, or the Honor 8 for that matter, then Huawei is pegged to be busy at the MWC 2017 with wearables and new smartphone to be launched.

Sony

Sony still wants to pursue its ambition in the premium smartphone segment, even though, Samsung, Apple and Google have a better chance there. We expect to see a slew of Xperia devices, and may be another Xperia flagship refresh.
