Many Windows 10 users have complained about issues with their devices, on which the latest software updates from Microsoft are not accessible. Microsoft for its part, says that the issue has nothing to do with it, but has assured its users that a fix for the issue will be released very soon.

This was reported by The Express earlier this month, which also said that users were unable to access Windows Store or Windows Update because of some unknown issue with the operating system. Users have shared their concern on social media platforms like Twitter and popular forums like Reddit, the report adds.

Most users of Windows 10 who observed the issue were seeing this message popup on their screen. “Error encountered. We’ll continue to check daily for newer updates. We couldn’t connect to the update service. We’ll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn’t work, make sure that you’re connected to the Internet.”

The report points out that looking at so many users complaining about the same issue, a Microsoft engineer reached out to them via Reddit saying, “Microsoft is aware of this issue and is investigating. We’ll provide more information as it becomes available.”

Basic workaround solution for this hasn’t been listed out by the software giant, but users are hopeful that a fix is released at the earliest. Users in India, for now haven’t raised this issue, so it is possible only few regions in the world have been affected by it.

This is probably the latest issue faced by Windows 10 in the past 12 months or so and Microsoft has its work cut out to fix the glitches at its end as well as whatever hits its currently available operating system for PCs.

The tech giant had stopped the roll-out of the latest October 2018 update of Windows 10 due to an issue reported in the media – that the update wipes out user files including documents and photos. The company had later clarified that distribution of the update had been “paused” while it was investigating the issue.
