Karbonn Mobiles has launched two low-cost, virtual reality glasses-equipped smartphones in the Indian market.

Karbonn Quattro L52 smartphone with a VR device is priced at Rs 8,790, and the Karbonn Mach Six is priced at Rs 7490. The company claims that both these VR-supported devices will give Samsung’s Gear VR a run for its money.

Both VR sets are fitted with bi-convex lenses and offer pre-loaded games and video content for users to get into the true VR world. The company also claims that users can create their own VR videos using the pre-embedded VR app.

The VR technology offers huge growth potential in India with the burgeoning smartphone market where affordability is key to encourage mass adoption and offer VR at a disruptive price.
