The PUBG-addict Indian youth is in for some action-packed air combat in the coming days as the Indian Air Force is set to release its very own mobile game on 31 July.

We still don’t know the official title of the game but the teaser hints it could be called “Indian Air Force - A Cut Above”.

Much to everyone’s liking, the game will be made available for both Android and iOS users in the country. Here’s a teaser of the game, shared by the Indian Air Force themselves.

The shared teaser of the game showcases in-game footage of the gameplay and the different modes the players will be able to play.

The teaser also shows a game character which resembles Indian Air Force Wing Commander ‘ Abhinandan Varthaman’ who was held captive in Pakistan for almost 60 hours after his aircraft (a MiG-21) was shot down, earlier in 2019.

The trademark mustache gave it away.

In terms of the gameplay, the teasers shows a cinematic collection of different combat modes and scenarios the players can participate in. It’s not clear whether the game will offer a multiplayer mode, however reports suggest that the developers are working on a multiplayer mode as well.

It also shows a wide variety of aerial combat vehicles from a Mil Mi-17 helicopter, to what looks like Russian Ilyushin Il-78 refueling plane.

Players flying these planes will in all probability be able to control the plane via touch controls or will get on-screen buttons to fly the planes.

Combat wise, the game also has on-ground actions where you will be able to control anti-aircraft guns and shoot down enemy planes.

Considering that the Indian Air Force is looking to instill a sense of patriotism with the game it might also be looking to motivate people to become a part of the Indian Air Force.

And while this game doesn’t compete with PUBG Mobile directly, expect many users to be fascinated with this unique game, probably the first to be made officially in partnership with the Indian Air Force.
