Huawei has said that all of its phones sold online will get a price hike of 10 percent in the coming months.

The company’s executive confirmed this development on the sidelines of the launch of Honor 8 Pro in the country. This probably means that Huawei’s online brand, Honor, will start increasing the price of its devices – Honor 6X, Honor 8, Honor 8 Lite and the Honor 8 Pro.

We have both online and offline businesses in India. In online, there will be a little cost increase for sure. But offline, there will be no impact.

Interestingly, other China-based brands like Xiaomi have decided to absorb the price of its Mi phones, which is likely to work against the ambitions of Honor as a brand in the country.

Could this be a dealbreaker for those looking to buy the Honor phone online? Maybe not, if you’re specifically looking for the brand.
