HTC has launched the HTC U11 in India priced at Rs 51,990 for the 128GB variant. The smartphone comes integrated with a technology dubbed Edge Sense that helps to interact with the smartphone differently. The device will be available for purchase from both online & offline channels and will start rolling out from 17 June.
The U11 is available in Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red colour options. The Ice White variant will not be launched in India.

The device is being touted as a phone ‘that can be squeezed’, which basically implies that you can press/squeeze the device on the sides to interact with different applications of the phone. For instance, you can customise “short squeeze” to open camera or “squeeze & hold” to open phonebook.
The HTC U11 runs on Android Nougat 7.1. The device also comes with three virtual assistants – Google Assistant, Alexa for Amazon and HTC's own Sense Companion. Alexa is not currently available in India but HTC have said they will keep customers informed about Alexa updates in the future. The phone packs new stereo speakers with BoomSound technology and has been launched in direct competition with the Samsung Galaxy S8.
