Google could unleash its second generation Pixel smartphones on 5 October. This has been somewhat confirmed by known tipster, Evan Blass, who has tweeted out the details, and also mentioned that Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL could be the first devices to pack Snapdragon 836.

Going by Google’s usual schedule for product launch, we wouldn’t be surprised if Google confirms this. This could also be the first smartphone to roll out with Android Oreo this year.

Pixel will definitely come into focus after Apple unveils its supposed series of iPhone 7s and the 10th anniversary special, iPhone 8 sometime next month.

Though Blass is confident about his information, we’ll wait to hear from Google – which could be any day now.
