Motorola has launched its eagerly awaited Moto X Force that comes with a shatterproof display. Priced at Rs 49,999 for the 32GB variant, Moto X Force is capable of withstanding falls from a height, unlike the Apple iPhone 6S or the Samsung Galaxy S6, thanks to its inbuilt shatterproof technology. The phone has been equipped with 5-layer display coating that ensures protection against accidental falls.
The company is offering a 4-year warranty on the display and they claim Moto X Force can tackle the toughest conditions without breaking apart.
And after seeing Rick Osterloh, President, Motorola Mobility take the Moto X Force to the cleaners, we really wanted to get our hands on the phone and do the unthinkable to test Motorola’s claims. So does it really work? Check it out...
For years, users have been waiting for a smartphone that can survive a fall or two. Motorola seems to have finally found the answer to the problem, something that even Apple could not manage.
Moto X Force is the smaller sibling of the Moto X Style with a 5.4-inch Quad-HD display that takes smartphone durability to a whole new level. Available in multiple built variants, Moto X Force fits in your palm and is not too heavy. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 3GB RAM which fulfills the flagship criteria for us.
Unlike the 21-megapixel rear camera of Moto X Style, we found the snapper on Moto X Force to be decent. The camera is quick to focus on the subject and deliver detailed images. With so much power on offer, you’re bound to question the phone’s ability to last the day.
The use of a 3760mAh unit leaves us fairly relaxed about that, but we’ll reserve our verdict till we try out the device for a longer duration.
Moto X Force is here and even though it is priced on the higher side, the prospect of having a phone with a shatterproof display feels like it is worth it.
