Gmail is evolving and so is the way people interact on the platform. Over the last few months, Gmail has added features like quick replies, snooze messages, scheduled emails and now it is adding a feature that will completely change the way you use Gmail. It's called Dynamic Mail.
Dynamic Mail is a system which allows users to do a lot more within Gmail. It lets users multitask within the same tab of an email and perform a host of functions simultaneously.
It rolled out on 26 March for various desktop browsers in Google's G Suite, but now it will slowly start to roll out for the mobile app of Gmail as well.
The primary objective to introduce this feature is to increase the interaction between the admins and the users.
So how does Dynamic Email Work?
For Example, websites like OYO will give you an option, which will allow you to see the details of a hotel within the mail. You’d be able to check out different rooms and book the same within Gmail itself. No more trouble with opening multiple windows.
Other businesses using this platform are Booking.com, Doodle, Pinterest and even RedBus.
Dynamic Email also allows users to comment on shared Google Docs files and gives them an option to see an up-to-date thread in Gmail where they can reply to messages directly.
Other features of Dynamic Mail allows providing quick RSVP to events, filling out questionnaires and even browsing catalogs of shopping platforms. This could change the way business share product portfolios to customers.
This feature also opens up avenues for other businesses to adapt to this form of interaction so that it’s engaging and users find it easier to interact with the admins.
The mobile version of the feature rolls out from 2 July. However, the rollout is expected to occur in stages. So be patient, you too will get the feature soon.
